In the 13th century (between 1236-1250) someone doodled a small happy bat in the corner of the margins, of a 13th century theological miscellany and bestiary leaving us with this incredible example of marginalia. And now today in 2026, I've made them into these fantastic little earrings. Having hand sawn these happy little faces into sterling silver, I can say for certain these are one of my favourite things I've made so far. Attached by chains these dangle earrings have an oxidised and frosted finish.

Handmade to order, these earrings are made from start to finish from my studio here in Scotland, fully hallmarked, and sent tracked these earrings come with a gift box, polishing cloth and a smile.
